Leighton R. Greenwood
Staff Attorney

From legal analysis to practical application, I am dedicated to helping clients safely navigate the complexities encountered throughout the oil and gas title process. Understanding that every project is unique, I tailor my approach to meet each client's goals effectively and efficiently, allowing them to move forward with confidence.

Leighton Greenwood joins Gray Reed with more than 15 years of experience working with oil and gas clients in Texas and Oklahoma. He focuses on title examination, including the preparation of drilling, division order, and acquisition title opinions. He also assists clients in the handling of curative matters, advising them on the most practical and efficient pathways to curing title defects, as well as drafting various title documents.

Prior to joining the firm, Leighton gained invaluable experience working alongside seasoned oil and gas attorneys in a small firm atmosphere. Initially learning from his mentors and later becoming a mentor to junior associates, it was there that he developed the tools necessary to help clients navigate the legal and operational challenges of exploration and production.
