Gray Reed Partner Jay Aldis has been recognized by Texas Super Lawyers for his charitable work and lifelong dedication to giving back, as featured in the magazine’s 2025 issue in an article titled “Paying It Forward.”

The story highlights Jay’s personal connection to Providence Place, a San Antonio-based nonprofit where he was adopted as an infant. Decades later, he returned to the same organization to serve on its board using his experience as an HR legal consultant to help guide its mission for six years.

“But for that organization, where would I have been?” Jay shared in the article, reflecting on his journey from adoption to advocacy. “I hope the children Providence Place serves today realize that they have value, to the point that one or two parents would pick them from all the other children in the world.”

In addition to his employment law practice, Jay has served on several boards and committees including Houston’s First United Methodist Church which he chaired for two years. He has also volunteered as a civil rights law instructor for the Harris County Sheriff’s Department.

Jay’s story reflects Gray Reed’s commitment to community service and the values of compassion, integrity and leadership that define the firm.
