Gray Reed Partner Stephen Cooney Elected as Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers
Gray Reed is proud to announce Stephen Cooney, a partner in the firm's Real Estate Practice Group, has been elected as a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL), one of the highest honors in the commercial real estate profession.
ACREL is the premier organization of U.S. real estate lawyers, with admission by invitation only following a rigorous screening process. Fellows are elected based on their outstanding legal ability, extensive experience and high standards of professional and ethical conduct in real estate law.
"Stephen's election as an ACREL Fellow reflects his exceptional expertise and distinguished reputation in commercial real estate law," Michael Gillman, Gray Reed's Real Estate Practice Group Leader, said. "This well-deserved recognition confirms Stephen's standing as one of the preeminent real estate attorneys in Texas and highlights his commitment to excellence in client service and the advancement of real estate law."
Cooney focuses on representing buyers and sellers in negotiating and documenting the sale, purchase, lease, development, finance and operation of commercial properties. He also advises clients on a wide range of commercial real estate matters, including land use issues, deed restrictions, access to water resources and the formation and operation of property owners associations. Cooney is Board Certified in Commercial Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
